POSITION SUMMARY: The Annual Fund & Donor Relations Leader plays a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the Library by planning, executing, and managing key fundraising and stewardship initiatives. This position collaborates with various teams within the Library to enhance donor engagement and ensure the success of annual appeals, special events, and volunteer programs.

DUTIES:

  • Plan and execute solicitation strategies to grow and retain donors to meet fundraising goals.
  • Develop compelling strategies and messaging for multiple donor segments and across various channels (e.g., mail, email, social media, etc.) and ensure timely and consistent communication .
    Collaborate on the planning and execution of fundraising events and donor engagement opportunities.
  • Oversee the annual CHPL Staff Campaign, fostering internal support.
  • Assist with relationship management of various CHPL affinity groups.
  • Cultivate relationships with CHPL retirees, ensuring consistent solicitation, communication, and stewardship.
  • Develop and implement strategies for CHPL Volunteer outreach management, cultivation and stewardship, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Build, maintain, and grow relationships with donors, ensuring cultivation and stewardship throughout the year.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend hours to support events and donor activities.
  • This position may require occasional out-of-town travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in development, fundraising, and/or donor relations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manager multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, digital communication tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with donor management software.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions.
  • Experience with fundraising event planning, sponsorships and, volunteer coordination.
  • Creativity and initiative in developing donor engagement strategies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • CFRE or CAP designation preferred (or equivalent experience).

SALARY:
Grade 9: pay range $59,425.60 – $86,153.60 annually
