Job Description
Covington Catholic High School, a two-time Blue Ribbon of Excellence award-winning college preparatory high school within the Diocese of Covington, is seeking a Director of Advancement.
The Director reports to the Principal and oversees a comprehensive development and alumni engagement program. The Director of Advancement is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive development plan aligned with the strategic funding priorities of the school. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in achieving development goals and the ability to identify and cultivate relationships within the community in support of the school. The Director works with a variety of constituent groups, including alumni, parents, friends, corporate sponsors, and foundations. The director will oversee a director of alumni relations, a development associate and event coordinator.
The position requires strong organizational, management, interpersonal/networking skills, the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, and an eye for detail.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of five years of experience as a development professional.
- Record of successful gift solicitation and closure, including major gifts.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Willingness to attend evening and weekend activities as needed. Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to work independently and provide vision and direction for development programs while building a team of professionals and volunteers to execute the advancement vision.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work closely with administration, staff, board, donors, parents, and volunteers.
- Experience in Campaigns and Grant Writing preferred.
- Experience in a faith-based school and/or not-for-profit environment preferred.
