Senior Foundation Manager
ProKids is seeking a detail-oriented professional to serve as the senior foundation manager, enabling us to continue to serve abused and neglected children in Hamilton County. Highly organized with strong research skills, the foundation manager will collaborate across the agency, determining financial needs and matching them to prospective funders and foundations. The successful candidate will have strong written and communication skills, both technically and as a storyteller. We are looking for someone of high integrity, with superior problem-solving skills, who can work independently and prioritize tasks while meeting multiple deadlines.
Position Summary
ProKids is seeking a full-time senior foundation manager to attract funding that enables abused and neglected children to reach safe, permanent, nurturing homes. As a leader in our 40-year-old agency, this position works collaboratively with other staff to determine financial needs, matching them to funding opportunities at foundations. As a key leader in community development, the foundation manager communicates our children’s needs in both technical, detailed writing and compelling storytelling. This role requires the ability to comply with strict requirements and deadlines while balancing several projects.
Highly organized with strong research skills, the foundation manager will be of high integrity, with superior problem-solving skills, and can work independently. A problem-solver, the successful candidate will be able to use Microsoft tools, particularly Word and Excel.
With 3-5 years of experience, the foundation manager will build upon existing relationships and identify and cultivate new contacts, ensuring consistent and professional representation of ProKids to outside funders and community members.
The successful candidate will collaborate across the ProKids community to acquire and maintain current knowledge of programs, practices and community needs, leading a small team as it seeks funding, secures revenue and strengthens ProKids into the future.

Overall Job Description: Research, develop and write foundation and corporate grant proposals and reports. Create a comprehensive calendar and cultivation plan, which includes record of funding windows, grant deadlines and reporting requirements in an 18-month cycle. Establish and build relationships with key foundation partners. Maintain accurate records of all current grants and requirements, ensuring compliance throughout ProKids. Supervise and support a small team in achieving financial goals.
Experience: ProKids seeks a detail- and deadline-oriented professional with three to five years of proven success in grant writing. Candidates must be strategic thinkers with the ability to make budget predictions based on research, data and funding cycles. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Cultural competence and a commitment to the principles of diversity, equity and inclusion are required. Supervisory experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,000.00 – $72,000.00 per year
